Ryan Garcia Confirms on The Tonight Show He's "Geared Up and Ready" to Fight Conor Benn

WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia has taken his callout of Conor Benn from social media streams to late-night television. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 18, 2026, Garcia made it clear he's ready for the British star. "Geared up and ready to fight Conor Benn," the official show account posted alongside a clip of the interview, which quickly racked up tens of thousands of likes. The Fallon appearance follows Garcia's earlier comments during a Kick live stream, where he first named Benn as his targeted opponent for a September 12 showdown at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Benn, who signed a multi-fight deal with Dana White's Zuffa Boxing in April 2026 after splitting from Eddie Hearn's Matchroom, has made clear that Garcia is his priority. "We're in the middle of negotiating [Garcia-Benn], along with some other big fights," said Benn's manager Keith Connolly. "I could see it happening; I could see it falling apart, but we're targeting that fight right now". The matchup pits Garcia's lightning-fast combinations against Benn's relentless pressure in what would be a true transatlantic grudge match. For now, the boxing world waits for the final contract, but the message from the champion is unmistakable. Photo credit: Ryan Garcia / Facebook
