Shakur Stevenson Calls for Gary Antuanne Russell Unification

Ring and WBO junior welterweight champion Shakur Stevenson has publicly called for a unification showdown with WBA titleholder Gary Antuanne Russell. “I rather fight Antuanne Russell.. That’s a fighter who will bring the best out of me!!” Stevenson posted on social media. He also directly challenged Russell: “Gary Antuanne Russell let’s unify”. Russell (19-1, 17 KOs) has expressed interest in the fight, saying it “would go viral”. A potential Zuffa Boxing card featuring the 140-pound unification is reportedly in negotiation.
