Conor Benn Inks Five-Fight Deal with Zuffa Boxing, Eyes Garcia Showdown

Conor Benn is no longer a promotional free agent. The Essex welterweight has officially put pen to paper on a multi-fight agreement with Zuffa Boxing, the newly launched venture spearheaded by Dana White and Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh. The 29-year-old son of British legend Nigel Benn announced the deal Friday across Zuffa's social platforms, locking himself in for a reported five fights over the next two and a half years. The move solidifies Benn's departure from Matchroom Boxing and builds on the momentum of his April victory over Regis Prograis under a previous one-fight arrangement with the promotion. "Our visions were aligned," Benn stated. "Our goal remains the same – to get that world title, but more importantly, to get people the fights that they want." What Benn wants is clear: Ryan Garcia and the WBC welterweight strap. Currently ranked as the mandatory challenger, the 25-1 (14 KOs) contender made no secret of his priority. "Of course it's the priority, getting that Garcia fight done," Benn admitted. "But I'm not short of options. There's plenty of fish out there." With Zuffa's deep pockets and White's matchmaking aggression, Benn's path to a marquee showdown appears clearer than ever. Photo Credit: Zuffa Boxing / Facebook
